What is our Diet actually?
Is it purely what we choose to eat .. Our latest choices from Deliveroo or Uber Eats or is it more than that ?
Perhaps what we consume through our mouths is only part of the picture. If we consider what else we ingest through eyes, nose, ears and touch, should we really be paying closer attention ?
Beneficial diet must surely consist of good choices in every aspect of our lives, not just physical but mental health too.
What helps us to stay healthy may be found in the conscious management of our exposure to both negative, mood lowering stimulants and it’s counterbalance of peace, ease and happiness.
Maintaining a reasonable sense of wellbeing is challenging if we surround ourselves with things that deplete us. Where on the spectrum am I ? Can I improve my diet ?
So the challenge is to be vigilant and to maintain our own unique healthy diet. To taste living fresh foods that we enjoy, to listen to music that moves us, to touch the soil and to hear the natural world.
Perhaps the responsibility is ours and no one else’s.
